73rd Annual Obon Festival

Sunday, July 14, 2019, noon – 5:00pm

1155 Noche Buena Street in Seaside

Come and enjoy a day of Japanese food, culture and entertainment. Delicious Japanese foods include tempura prepared by chefs from local Japanese restaurants, sushi, beef and chicken teriyaki, udon (noodles in broth), gyoza (steamed dumpling with ground pork and vegetables), edamame, shave ice and ice cream. Day-long entertainment features Taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, games, crafts and Japanese tea ceremony. An introduction to Buddhism session is offered at 2pm. Everyone is invited to dance during the bon odori, Japanese folk dancing – dance to George Michael and Japanese folk music. The day ends with the raffle grand prize drawing.
